Roofing waste removal in Cornwall

Empire collects roofing waste such as old slates, tiles, felt and battens after roofing work. Tell us what the material is and where it will be stored so we can assess the collection properly.

List each roofing material

Tiles and slates, timber battens and felt should be described separately, even if they came from one roof. Include the approximate pile size or number of bags, and let us know if there are nails, metal fittings or other materials mixed in. Photos help, but a photo alone cannot identify every material.

Collection is separate from roof work

Agree a safe collection point with the person doing the roofing work. This service is for waste removal, not taking materials off a roof or undertaking roofing repairs. Tell us if waste remains on scaffolding or at height so that access is discussed before a date is agreed.

Do not assume old roof sheets are ordinary waste

Some older roofing products can contain asbestos. If the material is unknown or suspected to contain asbestos, do not break or disturb it. Get suitable specialist advice first and explain the situation when enquiring. No asbestos removal is promised on this page.
